Default Earth-Friendly Ways to Recycle Christmas Trees

Going along with our great Christmas season today, tree disposal / recycle / reuse. Some good ideas in this article. If I had a tree this year, I'd probably go with option #5, let it discompose naturally. Thankfully, my yard is big enough for this. If I couldn't do that, I think I'd choose #3, chipping the tree.

I have to admit, burning them is the most entertaining method of disposal. Likely the fastest, too!

Hi,

In the town where I live, they have a collection location in the parking lot of the Boys & Girls Club, and after we have all brought them there, they chip them all up and use it for mulch.

I've composted them in the past -- they take a very long time (years) to rot away.
