Default Got it!

Yesterday was wasted waiting for the UPS truck.. It came around 5:30 PM and gave me my Amazon order..
But, someone at Amazon mixed up the boxes and sent me the wrong stuff..

After a trip to the UPS store this morning, I drove over to Brogsie's house and picked up the dead A7.
Plus a new temperature control unit, still in it's box from the vendor!
Only a few feet of copper left over from the long HX loop..

It looks like the leak might have been were the HX loop connected to the larger copper going inside the A7.. Bottom part I think..

Hey Xringer,

I think the unit was still charged up when I pulled it out. As I was pulling the tube out it started leaking (hissing)behind me at the tube already pulled out. That's where it ended up breaking. No oil came out.

The AIrTap A7 takes 8.8oz of Freon.

Propane is a lot lighter than fluorinated /chlorinated refrigerants per unit volume.

As long as it didn't leak inside the A7 box, I'm happy..
I can't remember what you used to by-pass the bad temperature control,
I assume the cable you added just needs a switch on the end, to run the compressor..

Wow, the shipper was changed from UPS to USPS this morning and the mailman just dropped off my kid's Bday gift..
(a carpet cleaning machine). I think he hurt his back!

I had wired an outlet from the circulator pump on the oil boiler. Plugged the a7 into that. Came on when that zone called for heat.
