typically 2 wire / 3 wire is referred to without mention of the ground. not many wires out there with 1 wire and 1 ground. nor two wires/no ground.
as I understand it 2 wire is one black (hot) one white (neutral) and ground (green) 3 wire is two hot (black and red) and one neutral and ground but i'ze no electrical expert ... Last edited by creeky; 12-21-12 at 04:00 PM.. |
