This is what we all need to do. Get on solar. Save the planet. smile.
It would be interesting to calculate the CO2 emissions not created with your electric car/minisplits. Well. Back to installing my Chevy Volt ESS.

May and, figures now in for June, will be the best two months in the last 5 years. (System in for 5 years now)
Just my intertie system came in at over 825 Kwh each month. Usually my off grid/intertie system comes in at roughly half so figure about 2.5 Mwh for the last 60 days. I'm happy, I think my last bill came in about $600 plus so I really should get a boost with June. Rob That's $600 plus in my favor. |

Writing to you now using the electrons from my lithium based stored energy. What a beautiful time to be alive.
Thumbs up to both of you. Robaroni and pinballlooking. We are the future if the future is now.

12.5 Kw array We generated 1,952 KWH June 2016
We banked 668 Kwh this month for a total 2,163 KWH banked for winter so far. The last couple winters we used about 3,000 KWH banked (for EV car and heating) so we are well on our way to have enough banked power to cover this comming winter. Other solar producers show us your numbers.

Two array's, total 6.81 kW rated nameplate capacity. 952 kWh for the month of June.
Timing of purchasing combined with various incentives affect everyones payback on money invested, but my arrays went live on 12/17/12 and I am 54.936% repaid. I need 89 more kWh to hit 55%. If the cost of buying electricity never goes up, I am still on track for about a 10.5 year payback, weather dependent of course. Solar has been the very best investment I have ever made. |

We are using about 5-6.5 KWh overnight 12 am to 9:00 am. This summer the solar kicks in and about 9:30 we have covered our nighttime usage. Then we start getting into the sweet negative numbers.
I love to squirrel away power for the winter it sure beats chopping wood like I did as a kid. We are driving our EV car more this summer because my both is going to cross-country running training 3 days a week but so far we are able to cover that with the solar power and still bank power for the winter.

I know, I looked at my intertie today about 1pm, which is close to peak and it was pumping over 5kwh out, that's not even both systems. I'm thinking that I put this thing in 5 years ago and it's done nothing but pay me back! |

12.5 Kw array We generated 2,044 KWH July 2016
This is our second over 2MW months this year. We banked 520 Kwh this month for a total 2,683 KWH banked for winter so far. We have generated 12.289MWh so far this year. Don’t be shy! Other solar producers show us your numbers.
