funny thing is I use my iphone as my main house phone and travel phone, My phone costs are now about $120 a year with my pay as you go 7-11 phone plan ($20 per 100 minutes) as opposed to $430 for the standard no frills land line plan.
Not sure how power hungry these iphones are.. the batteries are only 1800mah.. |

I got my kid the Ooma VOIP Phone System when she dumped Fios and went to a Comcast TV and data plan.
So, her home phone line is cheap.. She only gets a monthly tax bill now. I think it's about $3.50 or so.. Her alarm system needs a landline and the Ooma provides one. We also wanted to be able to call her house and not be wondering if her iPhone was on mute or not. I really like Fios, but will likely change providers too (someday). That Ooma is a nice system. You just need to have broadband.. My wife and I are retired and use the landline for 99.6% of our calls. We use the cells (cheap tracFones) very little and the cost for each is 6.67 USDs a month. My LG 840G has 413 minutes / 33 days of service left on it. I like that the minutes carry over. I never have to buy extra. So, the $20 for 90 service days (and a bunch of minutes) isn't too bad. My iPhone4 is a hand-me-down from my kid and it's just used on wifi, as a tiny PC/radio/tv..

I like to email people or text a quick message on the phone - talking is so yesterday haha
I bought a Magicjack last month , have yet to hook it up, I may well talk more often once I get it up and running. There is a app for your iPhone that allows you to use your MJ account with the Phone as long as you can find I wifi hotspot somewhere or even your own home. |

I have Talkatone on my iPhone and use it about once a month..
It's like Skype and has echos and lost audio a bit too much for me..

So, what's the story, does the Blackberry 10 contain 15 or 20 grams of gold?
