Perhaps the 2018 volts have been limited a bit, but I can tell you that the 2017's top out at 101mph.

I think the chart is wrong on that account.
Here are Care and Driver actual test.
They did an actual test 0-60 7.5 seconds GM list it a slower.
Top speed 102 mph but I have no need to go that fast.

I just got my new all-weather floor mats. The hatch mat needs to flatten out but I like them.

We already have 328 EV miles

A good read “GM says next-gen electric cars will cost less, go farther”

https://www.boston.com/cars/car-news...ess-go-farther

GM plans to reduce electric vehicle manufacturing and development costs by integrating the battery into the vehicle structure and by building multiple vehicles including SUVs and luxury cars off the same electric underpinnings.

We have 755 miles on the new Volt. 600 EV miles so far.
With the holiday we did not drive it as much as normal.

My wife loves the car
Interstate miles really eat EV miles but this one does better at interstate speeds. Here that is 65 mph and we usually just go 67.
That is the same speed we went in the Gen1 but it used up more EV miles at that speed then the Gen2 does.

We live outside of town so the 53 rated EV miles really fits better for us.
My wife started with a full charge today. Then was able to charge most of the way again.
She drove 98 EV miles a 0 gas miles very nice.

I picked my son up from school today our normal 39 mile trip.
Gen one volt would have made that trip 100 % EV maybe a couple EV miles remaining.
This would have required a full charge.

Today Gen 2 Volt same 39 mile trip we made it home with 28 EV miles left.
Only about ½ the charge was used. We have 677 EV miles so far. 831 total miles and have not put any gas in it yet. The dealer gave me a full gas tank we still have ½ tank left.

I don’t talk a lot about the fun to drive part of the Volt.
The battery weight keeps the handling firmly planted to the road.
It is noticeably faster than gen1. It has 294 foot pound torque this is in V8 range.
This is there at any time just like all EV’s very satisfying.

It is hard to believe that we are just over thousand miles 1,070 total miles.
891 EV miles still have ½ tank gas. The gas tank is only 8.9 gallons.

We just hit 1,050 EV miles with total 1,229 miles. We still have the dealer provided gas ½ tank left.
I thought I would use more power to charge the new volt. It has a 1.9 Kw more battery storage.

It looks like I might use less power. We are making the 39 mile round trip with a good amount of EV miles left over. So we recharge less than the 4.5 hours, last couple days 3 hours.

We are doing much better not using gas miles this range fits our use so much better.
We both are really enjoying our car.

I ordered the Illuminated charge port from GM parts.

Insurance Institute for HWY safety
2018 Chevrolet Volt Top safety pick.
2018 Chevrolet Volt

Always good to see your car do good in crash test.

I drove the Volt this afternoon. I picked my son up at school and went to the Chevy dealer to get charge port Illuminator. I drove 50 EV miles and still had 13 EV miles left.
it was not real cold out so no heater was used.

We have 1,481 EV miles on our new Volt. Total miles 1,690 with 208 gas miles.
My wife still tells me she loves her she means (our) new car.

We are using less gas and actually not charging as much putting on same number of miles as before.

With 1,690 total miles on the car and have not put gas in the tank yet.

So far we are 87% EV and climbing.
