I ended up using a combination of tools. My father in law brought over a concrete saw, and we rented an electric hammer because the sledge was breaking the floor up too rough. The rental was quite cheap, under $50 for the 3hrs we used it.

You might think that demolishing concrete is backbreaking, brainless work. But that’s only half true. There’s more to it than just swinging a sledgehammer. And a bit of know-how can save you lots of time and sweat...
