I agree with Ryland on the PV panels: "I would not give them up for anything, making yourself energy sufficient gives one really good feelings." There's nothing quite like watching your utility meter spin backwards! Priceless!

It must be nice to have one of those old 'spinning disc' meters.
If I made some extra juice, my LCD meter wouldn't care, it would charge me for it, thinking I was running the toaster.. |

The biggest charge for me is pouring a morning cup of coffee, made using PV electricity.
