Are you saying it's close to Osoyoos temperature wise?
I've traveled to the island. Been to the touristy places like Tofino and Longbeach. My sister use to live in Courtenay. My nephew is actually moving back there. I'd love to live somewhere on the island. Either Nanaimo or Victoria. |

Osoyoos has harsher winters then us but it is a very hot summer location that may well get as hot as here, the whole Okanagan Valley is a hotspot in the summer but again has more snow a longer winter and colder temperatures in the off season.
from here Nanaimo is south about 60 minutes and Tofino is North about 2hrs drive. Victoria has gotten very expense to live , $500,000 for homes to start , Nanaimo is much more reasonable around $175,000 to start. The city of Vancouver you will pay about $1,000,000 for a house to START with. |

The thread title reminds me of this comic.

Actually, the only person who mentioned Global warming ONCE, was Xringer in his title. And I'm sure he was just joking about that to begin with.
The rest of us are just bitching about how cold it is where we live and want to move somewhere warmer...not because of Global warming or climate change...but because we want to live somewhere not cold. |

Which is exactly why this thread reminded me of that comic.

Any century now that's when we will be seeing this so called *global warming* ( a marketable phrase) right on time as nature intended.

The irony is strong with that protest. Bad timing.

They should shoot for July and August.. That way, everyone will show up..
Just don't have the rally in Texas.. Nothing to do with global warming, It's just normally too hot for city slickers that time of year.. I can't imagine what it's going to be like down there during actual global warming.. They'll be cooking their omelets on the sidewalks! Ohho.. I'm not sure about this.. Do they have Omelets in Texas yet? I left home in 1963, and they didn't even have pizza back then.. Omelets? No way..
