We are having it too, and I can't say I like it . Last week we had a low of 15F. Two days ago it peaked just short of 80F. Of course I had to get a bronchial infection during the cold snap that ruined any chance of working outside during the warm spell.
An added problem of warm spells in the south is the possibility of early budding of foliage which gets wiped out in the next cold snap. South Carolina lost their entire peach crop about 20 years ago from this effect. Right now we have gnats and yellow jackets hanging around the porch. This sucks. |
