Senville Aura 12000 BTU
Just a couple of quick pics of the 25 Seer mini split I recently installed in the upstairs bedroom. It is mounted on the west wall with the lines going out the south wall. It was tight because of the proximaty of the window frame and the corner framing.

Looks good. Have you installed the outdoor unit yet?

Nice looking unit. Hope everything goes in smoothy..
So, you had to connect the line set up, and then lift it up to the wall bracket?

Yes. I had the lineset and drain through the wall and connected them to the IDU which was laying on the top of a ladder. The I rotated the IDU up onto the mount. Not my favorite install!

I have the 9,000btu version of that. It looks pretty much identical.

Here in the Houston area we have very high humidity which forces me to run the unit full time and supplement with a 12000 btu window unit during the hottest times of the day. Ir actually does better with winter heating.
Short answer, even with full time running, it saves a significant amount of electricity. Max amps is less than 10. |

Just a note. Second heating season and the motherboard has a burned spot. When I find some time and drier weather, I hope to see how good the Senville warranty will be. Crazy times here in the Houston area......

Very sorry to hear of the bad board.
Be sure to post your service/repair experience on this unit to EcoRenovator. I have a story about an appliance problem. I had purchased a Bosch talkless water heater. It is the type that uses D-Cell flashlight batteries running through a step-up transformer to make the spark to light the gas. I had installed it and it was working OK for about 6 weeks, and then no spark, no nothing. I called Bosch on the other side of the country, and described my problem. They had a new transformer at my house the next day. Major customer satisfaction from me. I hope you experience is as positive as mine was. Many of us have your scenario in the back of our minds when we buy a Mini-Split. By the way, I just got back from a trip to Spain, and Many-Splits are absolutely every where. Best, -AC
