Hey speedy, can you post a parts and materials list for all of us slow people?
I will be going to the garden this afternoon and digging out the dehumidifier I plan on using this year for my version of this machine. I will post up some pics of the garden then. It is turning into a jungle, and if we don't stop getting rain, most of the stuff will get root rot or fungus. EDIT: garden pics Tomatoes not tied up and pummeled by thunderstorms Cherry plants of the yellow balloon shape more cherry tomatoes, round and red Supermassive Australian oxheart growing like a weeping willow Peppers don't like growing in the mud very much Cucumber has started trying to damp off If it would dry out some, I could roto-till between the rows. Gave up on the lettuce patch, haven't even got near the beans except to harvest. Melons and squash are running wild. Nobody but me will get in there, too sloppy. The worst thing about this weekend: my refrigeration toolbox is missing. Gauge set, charging hoses, service port adapters, micron gauge, etc was all in the same container. Apparently it has grown legs or is hiding somewhere. Nobody ain't seen it nowhere...
I was torn between gutting the barn to find the toolbox and doing damage control on the garden. After a run of storms, many of the bamboo stakes in the pics were either leaning hard or toppled over. I can find or acquire tools anytime, but the garden needed TLC NOW. So it won the priority and I did what I could this weekend. |

Just an observation from the photo, running your tubes vertical instead of horizontal will allow the condensation to run down to the drip tray much faster , taking it out of the air stream reducing the chance of it re evaporating.
Possibly decreasing time needed to remove moisture. |

Jeff looks like you are starting to get the garden back under some control. If the rain slacks up your in for a nice harvest. Very sorry to hear about your tools. I share a barn with my father and tools do seem to walk of sometimes.
Redmohawk, now that's an awesome idea! I got to work on the drip tray anyway, I'll see if I can spin the coil vertical. Thanks for that info man. |

I will be posting a parts list and new pics of the vertical evap coil and new drip pan soon.
ldjessee, yes I tried that method long time ago. Works much better in the winter. WAY to high a RH here. I fight to keep 50% in the house. |

Hello,
Ah, I have a dehumidifier that is one wheels, if it is too high, I just roll it in front of the fan (or just put it in a closed room) and it lowers the humidity enough... But I live in a dryer climate, even with all the rain we have been getting. |

The greenhouse is still throwing out tons of food! And the dehydrator is still keeping up.
3 trays of basil dried in 2 hours run time. And this is a picture of it fully installed in the counter.
