Lightbulb

I have a similar issue but kind of in reverse of what Where2 did:
I purchased a floor lamp from Home Depot for $29 and installed a 90W LED spot, which is dimmable according to the package description. It reflects nicely and softly off of the ceiling for reading, etc. but I want it to be dimmable like my old 90s 300w halogen that I used to have. All it needs is a rotary dimmer switch and I am unsure about where and what to buy. All of the ones I have seen say it is not suitable for an LED bulb.

It has to fit mid-way up inside the pole, which is 1.25" dia. and be on/off and dimmable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
