Search is your friend. I suggest reading the sticky, it explains the process.
Superheat is evaporator outlet temp minus saturation temp. Read outlet temp, calculate sat. temp via suction pressure reading. Subcooling is condenser outlet temp versus saturation temp. Measure liquid line temp., calculate sat. temp via discharge pressure measurement. Every unit sold in the USA is required by law to display its refrigerant charge (by weight) on its "dog tag" ID plate. This window unit has a factory charge of 23.25 oz. of R-22. If it sprung a leak, the repairman would fix the leak, vacuum the system, and refill with 23.25 oz of new refrigerant 22. |
