Home depot has these for about $5 a bulb.
We have lots of these the are dimmable and are brighter than a 40 watt std bulbs
50-57 watt is my guess I replaced many 60 watt bulbs with these.

I bought about 35-40 of these and been using them about 1 ½ years. Not one bad bulb or issue with them. They dim and work great. You really notice it in your elect usage. I just wanted to follow-up and because some people said they were too cheap to work well. I have not found that to be the case at all.
