True. It looked like it would only work inside a wall, but i can see if it will work stand-alone.

HRVs have a condensation issue? what is the issue? (will an ERV work better? long term, this unit will be used in Miami)

Do you know of any window mounted units? I have been having a hard time finding them.

If you're bringing too-hot air from outside, it will hold more water than the cooler inside air. When you are cooling that air with inside air, it will drop it's moisture when it reaches the 'dew-point'.

The opposite flow is true for the same reason.

ERV's could help.
