That Hub seems like a pretty good way to go.
You will have to run cat5 over to your clamp-on amp probe. It's pretty easy to calibrate an Elite display unit, if you can measure/compare with another device that you trust is reading correctly. I used my outdoor Nstar meter and later used a clamp-on amp meter. The Elite LCD display unit has a wide voltage range adjustment, so you can just tweak it up and down and see the wattage display change. When it matches your standard, it's in cal.. Pretty much.. So, I assume the software App has the same kind of line voltage 'set' parameter. Or, maybe they have something called a 'Cal' button.. Just got our NStar bill for May!

Yes, the charge has gone up quite a bit lately. Last I looked is was 19.2¢/kWh.
