I agree with you a dryer flap should be enough.

But for the dryer this product is really worth a closer look it works very well.

It seems the bath fans I've installed include a backdraft damper (cheap broan fans). The last one I used had one, and I also included a dryer flap outlet as it was vented out the wall (1st floor bath).
