![]() I just discovered this community and I believe I will find some advice here. I have been interested about solar for many years.I have six solar panels on my northern facing roof along with a sunny Boy SB1100 grid tie inverter. I would like to set up a second solar system, so I went looking the internet and discovered this community. I'll publish my concerns in correct place...I hope

![]() Hi James,
Welcome to the forum. I'm using a DIY solar PV system for back-up power (in case of grid fail) and to add a little extra heat to my hot water tank. I found another form that specializes in solar PV, it's at Solar Electric Power Discussion Forum by Northern Arizona Wind & Sun I've found some good information there, but some of it is more advanced than I need.. I'm not interested in grid-tie, or becoming self-sufficient/off-grid. Just small scale DIY projects.. My arrays, last March.. ![]()
