I know next to nothing about chain saws . Except a little tree trimming with my HF electric , this summer .
But , I was told years ago , McCullough was a throw away saw ? Use it one season . Next year , throw it away and buy another . I do not know if that is / was true ? God bless Wyr |

It's an older model and not really a throw-away
Mine is from the 1970-80s and has no safety or emissions junk on it.
I used it for many years, even got a blade sharpening kit for it. It must have at least 50 hours on it.. It still worked, as of two years ago, but with my bad shoulder, I'm not in shape for yanking on a starter cord anymore.. Too old..
