Harvesting human heat (large scale heat pump)
I just read this very interesting article about how they are going to harvest human heat from a very busy train depot in Scandinavia to heat an office building. This is what heat pumps are capable of doing on a massive scale. CO2 is planned to be reduced by 33% and heating costs by 25%.

I think this is a very interesting and promising idea. Not unlike some of the VRV-type heat pump systems, that take heat from one part a building that demands cooling, and uses it to heat other areas of a building, just on a much larger scale. I love to see things like this because I often look around and think how much energy is wasted just fighting other energy producing things.
