Picked up a Par20 LED light today - Page 2

I noticed it on the shelf at the local Menards (home improvement store). I did a quick search online and every place I saw was selling them for more than what I paid.

I did the same type of replacement for a fixture over my mother's kitchen sink.
An 11 Watt LED replaced a 75 W filament bulb. Even tho it wasn't as bright, the 'whiter' color temperature is preferred by Mom, and she's happier with not having a heater above her head.

Great test photos and comparison. I've never been really crazy about the color of LED lights... but I just found a new one (that I haven't seen before) by Philips in Home Depot. Picked a couple up and put them in my house for a test. I don't have the before and after photos and don't feel like going into a huge explanation... Can I give a link to my hubpages article on it?

Yeah, links to pertanent info is fine and encouraged, even if you're trying to sell something (to a degree), as long as its relavent. Just don't spam it.

Nope not trying to sell it (at least for a commission), just trying to inform, I've never been really good at monetizing my postings.

For those interested it seems that the "more natural" LED bulbs have some sort of yellowish glass covering on the interior of the bulb. I love 'em and my fiance (picky) can't tell the difference between light quality. I think these were about $20.00.

Our little test with these philips bulbs has been great. Love the light quality and now that a couple other bulbs have blown out, I've been picking up more of them - only pull 8 watts.
