Chicken coop + Living roof
I just came across this...
A perfect example of how to make the most out of your chicken coop or rabbit hutch. Not only does it have a living roof, but as it is also placed in a vegetable garden , you can reuse old straw, bedding and droppings as instant compost. Does anyone have instructions on how this is made? |

It doesn't look horribly hard to make. Just look at the picture and make up your own version.

I would cover the entire inside of the planter with ice&water or else the coop will have a short life indeed. Or you would have to cook up a good way to drain it

EPDM pond liner is used as the membrane under a lot of DIY living roofs. unlike ice/rain sheild there are no seams for roots to work at.
