I think I can help you out, but I need to know the actual ID of your loop pipe.

I worked with a couple of different brands of pipe, both nominal 3/4" and each with a different ID, enough to matter, so I need to know the actual ID. If you can get a digital caliper and measure in the max diameter axis and also in the minimum axis, and post those values, I think I can help with the rest...
