How to safely cut baby's finger nails
Being a Dad (many years ago), I learned the trick of not clipping any baby skin with the nail..
Since a baby's nails are paper thin, you simply have to pre-hold the cut-handle down, so the the gap between the blades is very small. If you make the gap so small, that only a paper thin nail can fit, the chance of an accident is greatly reduced. It makes the job go much faster too! ~~~ My idea of the day, is to make a pair of Baby Clippers, just for baby nails. Squeeze the blades springs together with your thumb & fingers. The cut handle will flop around. Un-hook the cut-handle and remove it. Pull out the pin and find some thin washers that will fit over the pin. Stack a few washers on the pin, reassemble and check the gap. Once the gap is about as thin as baby's nails, you're all set! You might have to remove a washer every couple of years.. Cheers, Rich |
