toyobug's home projects.
I started this thread to show the improvements I've made over the past year. Once I figure out how to get the pics loaded I'll post them.

this is my hall bathroom before the "incident", which was a busted pipe in the "wet wall". Thank GOD for insurance!
this is it during demo (sorry it's not a better pic, I didn't know about this site at the time, I was actually trying to show the water between the tile and subfloor.) This is it 90% complete. Much better don't ya think! I have TONS more pics, but man it's such a process to upload them (hint hint Daox) I Have pics of all my projects. Some good ones and some decent ones. I'll do my best to get a bunch loaded. Maybe they'll be some inspiration for someone to try something they never have before. This house is only the second one I've done major remodels on. All comments welcome. I'm here to learn. More to come........ |

here's the backroom before during and after.
this is the best one I have during construction...I put a double layer of the pink panther stuff behind the paneling. I forget the R rating on the stuff. I got the highest rating they had. Future plans are energy efficient windows. Now that there's only 4! There were 17 before!!!!!! finished..WHEW! this first one is taken while standing in the door way leading into the dining room. You can barely make out the closet in the background that I had to build for my oldest daughter who has TOO many clothes! this one is taken standing where the window A/C is, which was also replaced with an Energy Star model.(sorry no pic for it) Yes my oldest daughter is spoiled and has the biggest room in the house now. pics for other projects to come later... Ideas welcome. |

here's the master bath before, during demo, during construction, and finished.
I took out the built in shower to make it a full bath with a tub. Both master and hallbath tubs were raised 6"s. My wife's idea..don't ask. afterwards I thought it looked pretty good, and it didn't take much to do. This is the only before pic I have of the masterbath. The after pics are a little better. during demo The bathrooms are back to back. The wall in the master bedroom was moved out a foot to allow for bigger vanity's. the pics don't do it justice, but believe me it's a huge difference. and We don't miss the foot in the master bedroom. Again..thank GOD for insurance! puttin it all back together...slowly.. and the finished product..man am I glad it's done! that's it for today. I'll post pics from my other projects later. |

replaced kitchen light fixture with the flourescent.
replaced linolium flooring with wood floors, that ended up getting replaced after the bathroom water "incident" with ceramic tile. Pics on that to follow. |

Wow, it looks like you've really done a lot of work on the house, and all in the past year!?! Amazing. Looks really good too.
What is next on the list?
