I looks like you can tweak the higher voltage this device can put out.
The second thing that comes to mind is to use 48V 60V 72V to 12V Step Down DC Converter 30A 360W Input(40V-90V) Buck Converter Transformer Reducer for Golf CART Scooters & Bicycles available on Amazon.
The third and most expensive would be to hook it to a modern charge controller. Southwest Wind power has been gone for several decades. Their equipment wasn’t very good even when new.
