Older cooling systems just tried to keep the slab temp 2-3C cooler than the ambient regardless of the RH which doesn't work well.
It's of course used in winter for heating as well (GSHP) because we have -10°C outside in winter. For cooling you need narrower spacing because DT is smaller when cooling.
