I still have to use the adapter but yes it will depress the Schrader valve. These two Yellow Jacket 15012 were pictured coming with a ball valve and that is one reason I ordered them. It was the wrong picture it is just the hose and not ball valve. I wanted to be able to use the ball valves to leave the vacuum for a while to see if it would hold it and to go over 1000 then use them to when the charge was released.
They are still great short hoses made for vacuum and will work great for the job.
