Birds do seem to target cars. I've seen it many times. Wash the car, go out and find it's been bird bombed..
Then, you check the whole driveway. It's clean as a whistle. Yeppers, they aim at cars..

My wife's new car was bombed about 30 minutes after it was washed.. (One hit just below the rear-view mirror)..
