It's a good idea, but this is probably not the product.

I took a casual look through some product literature and thought I saw that the unit was good for air temps down to 38 F.
If you can find that the unit is good to zero or sub zero, it might be useful.
But the COP will still not be anything like 5.8. That figure is for warming pools when the air is warmish.
