Suspicious bells should be going off when you read "COP= 5.8" for an ASHP.
COP = 5.8 is what you'd expect from the best GSHP.
According the the Carnot Efficiency Theorem, efficiency goes up when the delta T is low and efficiency is low when delta T is high.
Swimming pools have a pretty low temperature, compared to hot water heaters. Can you imagine diving into a pool that is 120 degrees?
It probably would make a good house heater, or a good DHW heater, but the efficiency wouldn't be anything like 5.8.
