This does sound interesting. I have tried to guess what sensor you are describing. Would THIS be the one you have in mind?

I was considering something like this to be able to measure how leaky my house is.

I didn't realize before how much CO2 build up there was in my house. Now that I have a CO2 sensor, it has created a new awareness, and a new concern. I think it is a good idea that you are going to include one in your HRV. If your house is very well sealed, you may decide later to make CO2 levels part of your ventilation strategy.

This sounds like a very interesting project! I am interested to see how it develops.
