See its a older thread . But if you want to get the iron out . You can build a green sand filter . Or They may sell them . As far as the salt only way i know of gettin salt out of water would be distill it or get a different filter . Th average person uses 50-75 gal of water . Check around with drillers to find out where the potable water is. Drilling a deeper well may be way cheaper in the long run and plugging that money pit .
