I would only do a LPG conversion if it saved me money copared to the current fueling cost.
Propane is about 80% as efficient by volume as compared to gasoline, Propane is *usually* much cheaper then Gas allowing a person to still save money on fuel after the losses. If local Propane prices are 20% less then gasoline then you would break even on fueling costs. If its not then its a more expensive fuel to use although be it a cleaner and easily stored fuel.
For me Propane is worth it , My propane costs are .88 liter 30% cheaper compared to gasoline's $1.25 per liter. After 20% efficiency loss by volume Propane still is about 10% more cost effective to run.
