Default Project update

Yesterday I picked up my tank. It was brand new old stock. It is 1600 gallons with its length around 10'. It was made to be used horizontally but I will be standing it up on end. There are so many modifications to be made to it but we will map it out and check off each item as we go. It will need legs and also the manhole moved from the side to the new top.
I will start the digging for the pit that it will sit in. The pit will be 8' x 8' and 3' deep.
My ceiling height in the garage is 11' 3" , so if I go 3' into the ground I will have nice room to work above this room.

I'm planning on insulating the room and not the tank and as I was driving yesterday I realized that this may be hard on electrical equipment that might reside inside the room. I will do more thinking on that.

Right now I'm planning on dividing the upper portion of the tank from the bottom with the top portion holding the 3000 lbs. of paraffin wax and the lower section holding the water.

Slow progress but it is progress.
