If it were me I would hack a 5000 btu dehumidifier or window ac unit. Run the unit on low fan speed for a low dewpoint on the indoor side. Save a ton of money by buying a massive electric water heater that would replace your existing unit, or retrofit your existing unit to use the refrigerant heating instead of the bottom electric element. Marvel in the combined facts: your water heater uses 600 watts instead of 2000 to heat water, and your house feels noticeably less damp. Tell everyone you invented a free energy machine to heat and cool with.
