I don't think I'll bother rerunning the ducting. My eventual plans will lead me in the direction of hydronic (solar) heated floors in all rooms of the house. Once that is in place, the forced air system will simply be a backup. Until then, I'll live with it, or turn on the electric in floor heating that is currently installed in the kitchen.
