We have an old Rainbow vacuum, not the bes sucking power but it gets the job done, but instead of a bag it uses water as the filter, you fill the bottom of it with tap water and all the dirt and air has to pass thru the water before exiting, so it does a good job of not spewing dust in to the air, it then gets dumped on the compost pile.
