We recently had to buy a new vacuum cleaner and we saw this:
Electrolux Ultra Silencer Green. It costs more than the average vacuum cleaner, but I searched around on the Web and found it for
less than the next best candidates. It came two days later
So what's so eco about it?
- It's partially made from recycled plastic
- It's very quiet
- The motor has the strength of a 2000W vacuum cleaner, but uses only 1250W
- The bag isn't some one-use disposable.
Even though the motor is quieter than most vacuums, this one has additional filters which further silence it. Removing them doesn't harm the cleaner, but gives you even better sucking power for even less electricity needed. (With a cat and a shorthaired dog, which both love rolling in the dirt, we need all the suck we can get.)
This vacuum cleaner should be available in most of Europe and Australia, but apparently not North America.
