Some time ago, I acquired a Mosquito Magnet 1000 (the commercial model) and found that it uses this principle of Peltier modules to drive the two muffin fans inside the device to make it "cordless". A local surplus electronics shop sells Peltier modules, and I've been debating what useful purpose I could create for a Peltier module in this mode.
Maybe I should set one up on my gas grille to power LED lighting.
