You should put one of the inexpensive inductive coil kilowatt hour meters on your #8 charging wires and get real numbers for what the leaf consumes. Then, you can really compare $$/mi between the Sonic and the Leaf. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you get real numbers. (I have friends in Colorado with a Leaf).
