B mode is new on the upper two trims in 2013. See 2013 LEAF ECO and B-mode (SV and SL trims)

We run ECO all the time. I run B mode all the time, and my wife uses D mode all the time. In B mode, my non-emergency braking is almost entirely just an accelerator pedal modulation.
