Filter it the same way as one would with BBQ propane. A suction line filter dryer is not expensive.

Moisture is not easy to remove once it gets in the system. Especially if the system has synthetic oil in it. Poe and pag oils absorb moisture and don't give it back.

Another cheap option is helium. You can go buy or rent a helium cylinder for filling balloons that is dry and not expensive. It is inert and non-condensible also.
