In B.C Canada we are on what is know as the Ring of Fire, same as Japan, only without the earthquakes, as of late.
On average every 500 years Vancouver Island has a large earthquake complete with tsunamis, according to the physical evidence left behind in the soil and at the ends of the inlets.
We are 60 years over due for 'the big one' now, clocks ticking.
