I have a few neighbors with them , one of them is a fresh new house the other a 70's house renovated to look like a condo. Both houses have about 10 recessed lights in the living room , in the drafty 'can' type of enclosure that effectively leaks warm ceiling air to the attic or the next floors floor joists.
I have heard the complaints on them

Buy the LED retrofit cans that seal the hole at the ceiling instead of the R30 retrofit bulbs.
