Not surprised the condensate drain line ends inside the IDU. Some of the GREE installs I saw in China had issues with condensate drainage, and dripping condensate from the IDU (more like raining actually). Considering some of the other "short cuts" I saw the A/C installers make, I wasn't surprised a few units had condensate drain leaks.
The remote looks a bit updated from the remotes they were using in 2014. It will be interesting to hear whether you can control it from outside your home network.
