1 hour of mowing is no small task. With my 48V mower I have four 12V 150Ah (which is very high for a 12V) lead acid batteries. They probably provide me with 30-40 minutes of run time to 50% dod (depth of discharge). With lead you don't really want to take them down much farther than that because doing so reduces the number of cycles you get out of them. So, in order to get 1hr of run time I'd probably recommend going with eight 6V batteries. You can get 6V batteries rated for 225Ah and that would probably get you what you want.
