Its late Sumer here and the solar hot water system is near one decade old. It has performed flawlessly all this time. Er well some maintenance items. New motorized ball valves as the old Honeywells had become stuck and thats another story.

It has provided a great percentage of our domestic hot water and the partial home heat load. Depending on the sun resource.

I guess, if questioned, would I install another if I was building or go with solar PV powering a heat pump Hmm.

Definitely Infloor heat!!!

Ive learned a lot about solar hot water, solar PV and the vapour compression machine "heat pump"

I will try to discuss my thoughts and Ideas in later posts.
