Good idea, but Kip has a large abundance of wood. Would the solar hot water panels generate enough hot water for the evening/night heating needs? Would you use a large storage tank to store hot water?

I grew up with a wood stove in the shop. The stoves were always elevated on a platform. I remember it was at least 18" off the floor. But regardless, your insurance rules dictate no open flames.

How about a outdoor wood stove, make a boiler with a pump for the supply and return line. Hook up to a radiator inside with a fan and away you go.
